Abstract
Anemia is red blood cells that are not sufficient to meet the physiological needs of the body, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, in 2018 explained that the results of the examination of pregnant women at risk of anemia were 84.6% at the age of 15-24 years. The purpose of this study was to analyze the predisposing factors associated with anemia in pregnant women in the second and third trimesters at the Makasar Sub-district Health Center, East Jakarta. This type of research is descriptive analytic, with a cross sectional design. The research subjects were pregnant women in the second and third trimesters. The research data was collected in the form of a questionnaire (knowledge and adherence to the consumption of blood-added tablets). Data analysis was carried out by univariate and bivariate (Chi – Square). The results of the chi-square analysis showed that of the seven independent variables there were four significant relationships to anemia in pregnant women in the second and third trimesters, namely age (p-value 0.041), knowledge (p-value 0.041), Lila (p-value 0.049), and compliance with blood tablet consumption (p-value 0.001). From the results of this study, it is advisable for the Makasar Sub-district Health Center to provide continuous education about anemia. Pregnant women are expected to pay attention to their diet during pregnancy and to be obedient in consuming blood-added tablets.
