Abstract

Diabetes is a non-communicable disease that will continue to increase in the future. Diabetes mellitus often appears in adults and the cause is due to a relative lack of insulin, generally appearing slowly and getting heavier. one of the parameters for controlling blood sugar levels is urine glucose examination. The role of the laboratory in urine glucose examination is one of them for managing and detecting diabetes. this type of research is analytical by evaluating the patient's medical record data. The study was conducted in Jakarta and Tangerang laboratories with 111 subjects with DM subjects. The results of this study indicate that of 111 subjects there were 58 women and 53 men. to find out the correlation between fasting blood glucose levels and urine glucose, Kendall's analysis was used to get the value of p = 0.026 <0.05 with the correlation correlation r = 0.16. Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between fasting blood glucose levels and urine glucose in DM patients.
