Abstract

Background: Obesity and obesity are major risk factors for a number of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Obesity is considered a problem only in high-income countries, but now the number of obese and obese people is increasing in low- and middle-income countries especially in urban areas. The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) is a non-departmental government agency, under and directly responsible to the president which was formed in the framework of carrying out the duties of the Disaster Management function. Therefore BNPB employees have physically and mentally healthy physical in carrying out coordination in disaster area, BNPB is in charge of assisting President to carry out government affairs in the field of disaster. BNPB employee is recommended to conduct medical examination to some referral hospitals, but research on obesity has never been done. This study aims to determine the relationship between eating patterns and knowledge about obesity with nutritional status of employees in Graha BNPB Building Pramuka Street East Jakarta. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship of diet and knowledge about obesity with nutritional status of employees at the Building Graha BNPB East Jakarta pramuka Method: then interview Food Frequency and Questionnaire about knowledge about obesity. This study used chi-square test. Result : Chi Square test conducted on the obesity knowledge with employee nutrition status obtained p value of 0.778 compared α = 0.005 it can be concluded there is no relationship between nutritional status with knowledge obesitas bnpb employee in Graha BNPB Building Pramuka Street East Jakarta. From the results of questionnaires and interviews to the respondents obtained level of relationship nutritional status with diet no relationship. Statistical test results obtained P-Value = 1,000.Apabila compared with α = 0.005 it can be concluded there is no relationship between nutritional status with diet on employees BNPB in Building Graha BNPB Pramuka Street East Jakarta.Conclusion: The nutritional status of respondents is mostly sufficient (58%), with almost half of respondents having good nutritional stability (42%) and knowledge and nutritional status having the same number.
