Abstract

Stunting can occur before the baby is born. Maternal health and maternal nutrition before pregnancy, during pregnancy and after delivery affect fetal development and the risk of stunting. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal characteristics and family support for the prevention of babies born with the risk of stunting during the Covid - 19 pandemic at the Pasar Rebo District Health Center. Sampling by simple random sampling involving 60 pregnant women respondents. Data analysis was performed with Chi-Square statistical test. The results of the analysis showed that there is a relationship between maternal characteristics (age, height, education, and socioeconomic status) and family support for preventing babies born with the risk of stunting during the Covid-19 Pandemic at the Pasar Rebo District Health Center. The researcher's advice to respondents is that pregnant women are expected to have concern in maintaining health and nutritional status during pregnancy and families provide moral support and motivation during pregnancy.
